At AUZ Care, the safety and wellbeing of participants is our highest priority.
AUZ Care is committed to ensuring workers engaged in risk-assessed roles hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check in accordance with the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
As part of recruitment and onboarding, AUZ Care:
- Verifies NDIS Worker Screening Check clearances before workers commence in risk-assessed roles
- Maintains accurate records of worker screening clearances and expiry dates
- Monitors screening status through the NDIS Worker Screening Database
- Ensures workers renew their clearance before expiry
- Takes action if a worker's clearance is suspended, revoked or no longer valid
- Promotes a culture of safety, respect, dignity and participant choice
NDIS Worker Screening Checks are generally valid for up to five years and are subject to ongoing monitoring by the relevant screening authorities.
